I was born and spent my early years in Cumbria on the western fringes of the Lake District; an area I still regard as home.
This landscape is the main inspiration for my work. I have always drawn, painted and taken photographs but recently my digital camera has become my sketchbook and my computer has become my paint box.
I have never been happy with reproducing my work using digital printers and it was this that lead me to traditional printmaking.
I find copper plate etching the perfect medium for creating my images and the process contributes as much to the final print
as the image itself.
I built this site to share my prints.
I get great pleasure and inspiration looking at the work of others and I hope you will find similar pleasure looking at my prints.
So turn to the gallery, click a thumbnail and enjoy.....
I have recently moved to Aberystwyth and become a member of Aberystwyth Printmakers. I am also a member of
Oxford Printmakers Co-operative
and have work for sale at
Mistletoe House.
